Line scan cameras are used when there is a continuous web or sheet passing under the camera. In this situation, a line scan camera is used when the image is built up from a series of single pixel lines to create the final picture. The benefit of this is that the generated image has no 'end'. Our line scan cameras are based on high-quality image due to the high sensitivity of our CCDs manufacturing process. They are available in a variety of resolutions ranging from 0.5 pixels to 12K pixels.

ELiiXA® UC8, CCD Multiline Line scan cameras

The ELiiXA 4096 pixel camera is the ideal candidate for the most demanding applications requiring multi wavelength detection (including NIR).
Using e2v's unique technology, the CCD sensor features unmatched performance: line rate of 18KHz, row spacing of two pixels center to center, enhanced blue response and three lines (RGB) or four lines (RGB plus a fourth line either monochrome or NIR).
The camera package is designed to increase efficiency and save cost at vision system level:
• easy calibration (test pattern, flat field correction, white balance, excellent mechanical alignement)
• versatile implementation (trigger modes, output modes, bi-directional scanning, spatial correction)
• optimal mechanical design (70mm width)
and with an all-in-one approach, a single ELiiXA camera can replace a two camera system of a conventional colour camera and a monochrome or NIR camera.

AVIIVA® UM8, CCD Monochrome Line Scan Camera

The most advanced member of the AViiVA line scan family combines the best of our technology associating higher performance and easy use. The AViiVA UM8 is dedicated to industrial machine vision application. This camera provides more detailed inspection in a multi-camera system, with 12k pixels resolution, eight taps working at 40MHz, line rates reaching 25K lines per second and dynamic range of 64 dB. This line scan camera will significantly reduce the overall multi-camera system cost for customers in flat panel display inspection, PCB inspection and high performance Web inspection applications.

AVIIVA® UM4, CCD Monochrome Line Scan Camera

This new Ultimate Monochrome (UM) AViiVA camera is RoHS compliant. It provides detailed inspection capability in a multi-camera
system, with 8192 pixels of resolution and four outputs up to 40 MHz, the camera offers improved sensitivity leading to a dynamic range of 62 dB. The AViiVA UM4 includes flat field correction and automated tap balancing, which ultimately meets OEMs’ exacting demands with an ease of use of the camera.  The compact housing (76 x 76 x 56 mm) and the Camera Link® interface allow for better integration into existing systems.  The AViiVA UM4 is ideal particularly for surface inspection (flat panel display, PCB…), web inspection or document scanning.

AVIIVA™ M4, CCD Monochrome Line Scan Camera

Well-suited for the most demanding industrial applications : OCR, bar-code reading, metrology and web inspection…The AVIIVA M4 addresses these applications by taking advantage of features already present in the M2 such as extreme mechanical precision, improved spectral response and superior anti-blooming behaviour. Three versions are available, with resolutions 2k 14µm, 6K 7µm and 8K 7µm, output format up to 10-bits and data rate up to 160 MHz. This high-speed, high-resolution camera is interfaced with Camera Link, offers offset selection and integrates flat field correction.

AVIIVA™ SM2, CCD Smarter Monochrome Line Scan Camera

This smarter camera offers the best in linescan cameras with an increasingly improved accuracy, versatility and easy implementation and can be interfaced with all major Camera Link and LVDS frame grabbers. The same compact mechanical design incorporates all sensors from 512 to 4096 pixels (10 or 14 micron pixel size) and can operate in up to 12 bits with flat-field correction and contrast expansion functions. All features combined, the AVIIVA SM2 is ideal for demanding industrial applications such as food sorting, wood or currency inspection, CD or DVD quality control or flat panel displays

AVIIVA™ SC2, CCD Smarter Colour Line Scan Camera

This new member of the AVIIVA™ range of cameras features a 4K pixel color sensor with a 10 micron pixel size and an RGB colour pattern (1365 x RGB pattern). This smarter camera supports both Camera Link, LVDS interface and is operable within a dynamic range of 8, 10 or 12 bits with dedicated electronics.
With additional flat-field correction capabilities, contrast expansion functions, white balance and colour space correction, this camera is the perfect alternative for industrial applications requiring low-cost colour capture. Furthermore, one will avoid the usual problems observed with tri-linear sensors on optical alignment and object synchronization.

AVIIVA™ M2, CCD Monochrome Line Scan Camera

Designed for applications, such as web inspection, document scanning, surface inspection, metrology.... This AVIIVA™ monochrome line scan camera family incorporates a 512 to 4096 pixels sensor, (in 10 or 14µm), offering an excellent signal to noise ratio (8, 10 or 12 bits) in a 56 mm compact and versatile mechanical design. This camera can run at different pixel rates (10 to 60Mhz) controlled by a user friendly interface. This AVIIVA™ monochrome line scan camera family can be interfaced with Camera Link™ or LVDS frame grabber boards.

 AViiVA® UM2 and UC2, CCD Monochrome and Colour Line Scan Camera

The new AViiVA Gigabit Ethernet UM2 and UC2 camera has been designed with three concepts: accuracy, versatility and easy implementation while it features a compact housing design (56x60x40.6m). The camera incorporates sensors from 512 to 4096 pixels (10µm or 14 µm).
The AViiVA GigE is the ideal solution for . OEMs migrating from the Camera link® to the GigE interface as it does not require, a new optic design nor a frame grabber. In addition, several AViiVA range's cameras may also use the GigE Vision® interface on the same PC.
High-data rate, standard interface hardware, throughputs of 125MB/s with cable length up to 100 meters, camera control, are additional criteria for this new attractive interface option.
