Si(Li) Crystal - We can re-process or replace crystals with our own proprietary product, providing optimum resolution and performance.


 

FET - e2v scientific instruments' own design of low noise Field Effect Transistors with electronic restore technology and integrated on-chip architecture ensure that the best performance is achieved from the crystal.




Windows - A range of x-ray windows can be supplied and fitted, from thin Beryllium to the latest technology polymer windows for light-element detection.




Preamplifier - we can configure replacement preamplifiers and cables to match the current electronics system ensuring full compatibility.

    e2v scientific instruments provides a range of detector service options to repair or upgrade your detector. Simply send your detector to us for a full evaluation by our skilled engineers. We will provide a full report and fixed price quotation prior to any work being started. Typically repairs or upgrades can be completed within a 4 week period as shown in the block diagram below.

    Typical packages     that can be offered are as follows:

     
  • General repair - repair as required back to dewar specification.
  • Window repair - Fixed price window repair with other parts included as required.
  • Performance Upgrade - Complete replacement of all internal components and new light element window fitted, to give state of the art performance. Incudes 12 month warranty.
  • Detector reconfiguration - reconfigure your detector with new preamplifier and cable (if necessary) to operate with new electronics or geometrical change to allow the detector to be fitted to a new SEM.
