SkyScan-1174 Compact X-Ray Micro-CT Scanner
The SkyScan-1174 is a compact, cost efficient micro-CT scanner for nondestructive three-dimensional microscopy. It may be operated by either a portable or a desk-top PC and is supplied with software for system control, X-ray radiography, 3D-reconstruction, 2D/3D image analysis and 3D realistic visualization. The SkyScan-1174 scanner supports variable magnification (6 to 30mm field of view), adjustable source energy (20 to 50KV) and flexible image format. The main application areas are biomedical research, metal foams, plastics, composites, electronic components, diamond defects, non-destructive testing, geology etc.

- Two-dimensional analysis from full cross-section or inside region of interest: total area, relative area (density or porosity), number of objects, average object size, size distribution.
- Three-dimensional analysis for full object or inside a region of interest: total volume, volume fraction (3D-porosity or density), total surface, surface-to-volume ratio.
- Software may be used on other computers to enable off-line reconstruction, post-processing and analysis.
