SGX sensortech purchase of e2V Gas sensor business

On 16th May we announced the sale of e2v Scientific Instruments, e2v microsensors and our industrial gas sensing business, to SGX Sensortech Limited. The completion of the sale of the industrial gas sensing business based at e2v’s Chelmsford facility is deferred for up to 12 months to ensure a smooth transition of all services and manufacturing.

What does this mean to our customers?

• For a time period estimated to be 6 -12 months the customer should see no change, business as normal.
• Place orders at e2v
• Receive product from e2v
• Pay invoices @ e2v
• Product certified by e2v
• Product manufactured by e2v
• Product data sheets and information on e2v website, no change
• Distribution purchases no change

• Business as normal no change

Over the next few months you will receive further communication and updates from SGX sensortech ltd and e2v, which will outline the timeline and progress of proposed move of the business to a local site within the Chelmsford area and the progress of the certification transfer to SGX sensortech, supplier information changes, quality document changes etc.
