e2v has over 60 years’ heritage in the design, engineering and manufacture of specialised high-reliability solutions, sub-systems and components supplied globally to industry leading system OEMs for aerospace and defence systems requirements.
We supply solutions in RF power, hi-rel semiconductors, including lifecycle management, and high performance imaging.
Our defence program and platform experience includes: F15, 16, 18 and 22, Patriot PAC 3, ASRAMM, AWACS, Apache, Eurofighter Typhoon and Watchkeeper. Space defence programmes for Earth observation and star tracking applications have been supported for 20 years.
Our major defence partners include Northrop Grumman, Rockwell Collins, Raytheon, Boeing, Honeywell, Ball Aerospace, General Dynamics, ITT, L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin, Telephonics, Teledyne and BAE Systems.
In the aerospace arena, and designed to survive the stresses of launch into space on satellite missions and operation in this harsh and unforgiving environment, e2v CCD and CMOS imaging sensors are chosen for use in the most demanding and high-profile missions by the world’s leading space agencies, including NASA, ESA and JAXA.
Each sensor or array is custom designed for purpose. Whether investigating black holes, providing detailed information on climate change or confirming the existence of a previously undiscovered planet our technology has provided many of the images that have opened the eyes of the world to space.
e2v''s sensors are also crucial to the development of astronomy and are specified for use in direct imaging, wavefront sensing and astronomical spectroscopy.
