Leading a multi-disciplined integrated product team (IPT), responsible for the development and production of Defence Microwave components and sub-systems; servicing installed and new sockets in radar and electronic warfare (EW) applications, and developing new e2v offerings into emerging phased-array radar and EW requirements.

Maintaining and growing e2v’s global position, supplying microwave components into ground-based, naval and airborne radar, together with niche EW offerings, and delivering a sales budget of £7.6M in FY 2008/09.

The primary BU startegy in this sector will be to drive and implement the new technologies which are being seen in the market place and which will enable us to maintain, and maybe grow our market share.

Main Accountabilities:

Ensuring Safety Health and Environment well being of site personnel and the neighbours are assured, through the application of safety policy and procedure
Delivery of the department result
Establishment of departmental objectives to deliver all agreed financial targets (e.g. publishing and managing costs, and creating cost offers for non standard enquiries)
Future growth of the business area by supporting the BU and developing the area
Development of improvement plans.
Performance development of direct reports.
Manage relationships (customers, unions, neighbors) to ensure continuity of operations.

Essential Experience:

Project Management Skills, Commercial Judgment, Leadership, Market Awareness, Low Cost Sourcing, Outsourcing experience/ awareness Commercially and Project Driven. Technically adapt, Entrepreneur.
