We have a number of opportunities for Product Engineers to join the Engineering team at our head office in Chelmsford, Essex. Product Engineers play a key role in supplying high quality custom image sensors to external customers such as NASA & ESA prime contractors. You will be allocated to a project from kick off through to completion and will be involved in a wide range of tasks from presenting customers with information to solving hands on technical problems.
Main Accountabilities:
- Ensure test related sections of customer documents are appropriately defined.
- Communicate technical information to internal and external interested parties (written and verbal) in a style relevant to the audience.
- Define and develop suitable regimes for the characterisation and test of devices, according to the customer’s requirement.
- Further the group’s understanding of semiconductor sensors and related aspects through investigations and improvement projects.
- Support parties outside of the Product Engineering Team through providing advice and carrying out test related activities.
Skills & experience required:
- Possess a degree or equivalent in Physics or Engineering discipline.
- Experience desirable but not essential.
- Understanding of solid-state physics.
- Excellent team working skills.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Occasional travel may be required.
