We have an opportunity for a Quality Engineer/Lean Implementer to join the Quality Team at our Lincoln site on a permanent basis. The main purpose of the role is to undertake quality activities in the manufacturing areas in accordance with company systems and procedures, and to aid in the detection and analysis of defective products in order to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce cost and ensure customer satisfaction.
Main Accountabilities
· analysing and collating data on manufacturing defects and customer returns and the preparation of statistics and reports;
· problem-solving to determine and correct the root causes of customer and internal concerns;
· performing and monitoring the testing of new products for new part introduction, data collection and reporting;
· gaining a detailed understanding of designated, customer quality requirements and ensuring compliance;
· performing and participating in internal quality system audits to company schedule;
· undertaking lean six sigma improvement activities as part of Focussed Improvement Teams.
Essential Experience
You should have previous experience of working in an electronics assembly and test-manufacturing environment. Previous working experience with ISO9001 is essential and TS16949 is desirable. You should be qualified to at least HNC/HND level in an engineering discipline, ideally electrical/electronic, and holding a qualification as an internal auditor, or lead auditor is desirable. You will be experienced, and ideally certified in Lean Six Sigma methodology.
