Against a backdrop of growth and change across the organisation, this position is required to drive the effectiveness and lead efficiencies across the engineering group. The incumbent will be expected to identify key performance metrics and drive continuous improvement mindset and methodologies in order to raise levels of customer satisfaction and overall profitability. The incumbent will be responsible for the leading, developing and motivating the Engineering team within CCD operations. The team will be focussed on ensuring full and timely completion of projects, prompt delivery of engineering solutions to manufacturing problems and the cost effective improvement of our processes.
Essential Experience:
Responsible for resource planning and allocation to meet current and forecasted requirements. Sustain the processes necessary for wafer production within the defined budget.
Responsible for people management within the group in terms of performance management, employee development, resourcing, succession planning and employee relations.
Responsible for developing and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the group and driving year on year improvements to meet performance targets.
Technical lead for the group, ensuring continuous development and drive towards best practice processes of the capabilities and yields of the existing processes and procedures.
Develop a continuous improvement culture and drive within the team.
Project Management skills, managing the team to operate within Project or budgetary constraints and drive efficiency improvement activities to reduce cost, improve quality and deliver performance.
Circulation of concise and timely progress information to customers/management.
Main Accountabilites:
Excellent people manager with experience of leading, developing and motivating teams.
Strong Interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to meet project commitments and drive improvement activities.
Strong experience of semiconductor processing.
A formal physical science or engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
