We have an opportunity for a Project Manger to join the Lincoln Business Unit on a permanent basis. The Lincoln Business Unit is focused on the development and manufacture of high technology, microwave and electronic devices used within a wide range of applications (radar, safety & arming). The growth of business within this division is dependent upon the prompt development of new cutting edge technology products into manufacturing.

The Project Manager is responsible for successfully managing these projects through initiation, planning, execution into manufacturing, and product launch. The project manager also has responsibility to manage bids, undertake improvements and develop variants to products.

Accountabilities:

  • Initiating, execute, monitoring and controlling the projects lifecycle to ensure delivery to the plans triple constraints; scope, timescales & budget.
  • To ensure that the Project’s processes adhere to agreed company procedures and standards at all times and ensuring that any legal requirements are meet.
  • To provide effective leadership, motivation and appropriate people management of the project’s team members
  • Manage projects uncertainty through planning and risk management, establishing appropriate mitigations and contingency pans
  • Preparing and publishing project plans and required documentation for bids, tender vets, and other initiated or planned phases within projects
  • Effectively communicate project performance, issues and risks to all stakeholders (and where appropriate manage expectations) in the project
  • Ensure that all aspects of a project are coherently and effectively joined to all other facets of the business. This includes support services (e.g. compliance, DO & purchasing), manufacturing as well as marketing and Sales.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvements of Project Management process and procedures and support improvement opportunities
