We have an opportunity for a Project Safety Engineer to join the Engineering Department in Lincoln on a permanent basis. This position is required to drive the safety analysis on all the EFI projects. You will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the safety tasks identified in the individual projects Safety Plans.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, chairing the project safety committee, approving any proposed changes to the design for their effect on the safety characteristics prior to their implementation. You will define accident severity categories, probability categories, equivalent numerical probabilities, accident risk classification scheme and safety design rules and techniques. You will ensure full and timely completion of the safety aspects of all the EFI projects. The role will involve liaising with customer Safety Engineers and will involve some overseas travel.

Essential Experience

- Excellent team worker with experience of leading, and motivating teams.

- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to meet project commitments and drive safety activities.

- A formal electronic engineering qualification or equivalent experience.

- A strong background within electronic engineering and knowledge of engineering methods and principles

- Experience with applicable specialisations from the following FTA, FMEA, risk assessments.

- Understanding of the requirements of DEF-STAN 00-56, Pillar Proc P101, P102, P120 ands STANAG 4187 would be an advantage but not essential.
