- Titlee2v donates computers to local Counselling Foundation
- Date19 July 2005
The Chelmsford Counselling Foundation (CCF) has received a donation of six computers from local manufacturer, e2v technologies. The computers will replace obsolete equipment in the CCF office and provide members of staff with a more modern computer system.
On Wednesday 6 July, two representatives from e2v technologies' Waterhouse Lane site attended a formal handover ceremony at the Foundation in Cedar Avenue, Chelmsford, where six e2v desktop computers were officially donated to CCF. Commenting on the occasion, CCF's Administration Manager, Laura Barker, said: 'This donation is deeply appreciated by the staff at CCF. You cannot imagine what a help this will be to us all. Our work tends to keep a low profile, but we really value the support and recognition that e2v's donation represents.'
Passing on the desktop PCs is an environmentally friendly way for e2v to support a local charity that has provided life changing help to local people over many years. The computers, no longer needed at e2v, will replace obsolete equipment at CCF and enable staff to work in a more efficient manner. This will allow office staff to provide better support to the counselling work.
The Chelmsford Counselling Foundation is a charity that has been established in Chelmsford for over 25 years. It offers counselling to people suffering personal or psychological difficulties and is very active in the training of counsellors.
