3 members of staff from e2v technologies recently visited India to run a 2-day training course for its distributor, Aimil Ltd.
Aimil brought together 22 employees to their head office in Delhi from their 9 branch offices around India to participate in the training workshops. e2v sent 3 people, Alice Reinheimer, Senior Applications Engineer for sensors from the US office and Martin Edwards, Product Manager Electronic Tubes and Andy , Marketing Communications and Distribution Manager from the UK. It was therefore a real global activity in every sense of the word.
Over the 2 days, sessions were held on key technology and market developments, applications and customer support across a broad spectrum of markets, from imaging devices for satellites to electronic tubes used in the production of steel tubing.
Following the workshops e2v's team split up to make individual visits, with Aimil's sales engineers, to key customers, where Aimil were able to put the training into practice with e2v's on-the-spot support.
Andy , Marketing Communications and Distribution Manager commented:
'This was a great demonstration of joint commitment. Both e2v and Aimil will ultimately benefit from the increased support Aimil will be able to provide to our Indian customers. It was a testament to the interest from Aimil's staff and quality of presentations from e2v's team that, despite everyone having had 2 solid days of information exchange, we were still going strong with questions and discussions to the very end.'
