- TitleFarleigh Hospice thanks e2v technologies for its commitment to charity
- Date11 February 2005
On Monday 07 February, e2v technologies was presented with a commemorative watercolour of Farleigh Hospice on New London Road, Chelmsford, in recognition of its support to the charity over the past seven years.
The print was handed over by Debbie de Boltz, Farleigh's Corporate Fundraiser to e2v's John Brewster, Sales and Marketing Director and Brenda Jackson, Chairman of e2v's Charities' Committee. The print is made more poignant by the fact that all of e2v's fundraising efforts to date have contributed to the hospice in London Road, which will close once the new £6m hospice is open.
In addition to the thousands of pounds donated by e2v and its Chelmsford based employees over the years, the Company has also supported the charity with the printing of its annual review, and has provided the use of its Waterhouse Lane facilities for quiz nights, candle-light suppers and numerous other Hospice sponsored events.
Commenting on e2v's support of the charity, Debbie de Boltz, of Farleigh Hospice;
'e2v technologies is a major supporter of the Farleigh Hospice, without whom we would not be able to offer the same level of care to mid-Essex residents with cancer and other life limiting illnesses.'
'Farleigh relies on donations from the community to provide free hospice care for the people of mid-Essex. We are having an especially important time at the moment as we endeavor to raise £6 million to build the New Farleigh Hospice. I am delighted that so far we have raised £4 million towards our target and will be able to open New Farleigh early in 2006. e2v's continued support is immeasurable'
