Technical Apprenticeship scheme
|Qualifications achieved||PEO, Level 3 BTEC and NVQ.|
|Position achieved||Technician – you will provide the team with technical assistance on a wide-range of processes to help the engineers develop first-class solutions.|
|Responsibilities||Fault finding and analysis, supporting the assembly and test of devices and acting in a professional manner when engaging with internal and external customers.|
|Length of programme||Three years.|
|Scheme structure||The e2v Apprenticeship scheme allows you to focus your training through a mix of full time and part time college courses, all underpinned by a range of placements in our diverse engineering teams. By the end of the scheme you will have achieved BTEC Level 3 qualifications, your PEO, NVQ level 3 and will be focused on your chosen work placement.|
|Standard entry requirements||Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) grade C or above to include English and Maths. Beyond qualifications we are looking for candidates who have a passion for science and engineering!|
Engineering Apprenticeship scheme
|Qualifications achieved||HNC, HND, BEng, NVQ Level 4 and PEO.|
|Position achieved||Engineer – you will help develop technological solutions which meet our current and future customer requirements.|
|Responsibilities||Responsibilities within the engineering team include designing high quality solutions, and providing expert advice to the group that will allow the progression and continuation of a product throughout its life cycle. The engineers work alongside technicians and product managers to liaise with suppliers and customers, and ensure that the final solution meets the specification.|
|Length of programme||Five years.|
|Scheme structure||During the scheme you commence higher education from PEO and HNC to BEng. Alongside this you will also experience a range of placements throughout our diverse engineering teams. By the end of the scheme you will have achieved your qualifications to degree level and will be working within your chosen business area.|
|Standard entry requirements||Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above with Maths and English Language at grade B or above.
Achieved (or predicted to achieve) a minimum of 3 A levels, including Maths and Chemistry/Physics/Engineering at grade B or a BTEC Level 3 in Engineering at Distinction level. Beyond qualifications we are looking for candidates who have a passion for science and engineering!
How do I apply?
1) You will be asked to complete a short online application.
2) If your application suggests you are right for our scheme, you will be invited to complete a video interview, which will focus on your behavioral capabilities and how you deal with situations.
3) Once successful at interview stage, you’ll be invited to an assessment centre at our Chelmsford Head Office, which will include an interview, a presentation for those on the higher scheme, group exercises and online assessments.
