RF Systems

For certain applications, e2v is able to add considerable value for its customers by packaging components and technologies from e2v and other suppliers into systems or sub systems. e2v''s deep knowledge of its own products, and the integration and interraction with subsequent system equipment, enables this work to be carried out in house more efficiently and economically than for scientific establishments to carry out the work themselves. By delivering a complete system with enhanced reliability, the overall cost of system ownership is also reduced.

Beyond packaging of RF components as described above, e2v''s RF System group is looking at developing components to transmit and apply RF and microwaves. This has led the group to engage in power coupler development and to develop the capability to design applicators.

The RF Systems group will also research/develop novel uses for existing technologies in new applications such as the use of high power RF in mining and is already engaged in developing new power supply technologies in partnership with academia and industry.
