Minimum Entry Requirements
The minimum entry requirements for the scheme are 5 GCSEs at grade A-C, with a B in Maths. You'll need a good foundation in English and Science/Engineering based subjects, especially if you plan to go on to complete the higher education courses.
You will be interested in building a career in technology/engineering and will be keen to make the most of the training and challenges presented to you. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will be willing to learn and also able to act on your own initiative to achieve what you set out to do. You will be a good communicator and be able to work well as part of a team.
Candidates who have appropriate A levels can join an accelerated version of the programme. This enables individuals to progress onto the HNC and bypass the National Certificate level qualification.
Please note that the closing date for Apprenticeships commencing in September 2008 has now closed. We will open again for applications for the 2009 intake in Autumn 2008.
