At e2v we strongly believe that we should consider the interests of the global community when conducting our business, ensuring that we function in an ethical and responsible way at all times.
This involves considering the impact of our activities on society and the environment at large, as well as acting responsibly towards our customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders and communities.
e2v is committed to adding value through bright ideas and has defined a corporate responsibility framework which goes further than just complying with statutory requirements and make steps to improve the quality of life for employees and their families, as well as making a sustainable contribution to the environment, local community and society at large.
e2v has, for the past 3 years, elected to measure and benchmark our global corporate responsibility activities with Business in the Community (BiTC), the largest national business-led partnership dedicated to corporate responsibility.
Having previously been awarded platinum level against the BiTC environmental index, this year we chose to be measured against the full Corporate Responsibility (CR) index, and achieved a Gold standard.
With a score of 89.45% for the overall CR index, across the 4 key areas we scored: 100% on community management, exceeding the benchmark figure of 93.1%, 96% on marketplace management, demonstrating continuing focus on the social needs of the community and 98.1% for environmental management, displaying responsible business practice as a major part of e2v’s daily business activities.
e2v was benchmarked against companies such as Rolls-Royce and Siemens on how they work with customers and suppliers in the workplace, their carbon footprint and recycling programmes.
